Q1: What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve families anywhere in Ontario. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please don't hesitate to contact us — we'll do our best to help.
Q2: How do I get started with home healthcare?
Getting started is easy and pressure-free. Simply contact us by phone, email, or through our online form. We'll schedule a free, no-obligation consultation where we'll learn about your situation, answer your questions, and work with you to create a personalized care plan. We move at your pace — there's never any rush.
Q3: Are your caregivers certified and trained?
Absolutely. All of our caregivers hold relevant certifications (such as Personal Support Worker credentials) and undergo thorough background checks. They also receive ongoing training in areas such as dementia care, infection control, first aid, and person-centred care practices. We hire for both qualifications and heart.
Q4: What are your hours of operation?
Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, our care services are flexible and can be arranged during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. We also have a 24/7 support line for urgent matters so you're never without help.
Q5: How much does home healthcare cost?
The cost of home healthcare depends on the type of services needed, the number of hours per week, and the level of care required. We provide a detailed, transparent quote after your initial consultation — no hidden fees. We also work with you to find options that fit your budget and can help you explore potential funding sources.
Q6: Does insurance or government funding cover home healthcare?
Some home healthcare services may be partially covered by private insurance, employee benefits plans, or government programs (such as Ontario's Home and Community Care Support Services). Coverage varies depending on your individual situation. We recommend checking with your insurance provider, and we're happy to help you navigate the process.
Q7: Can I choose my caregiver?
We do our best to match you with a caregiver whose skills, personality, and approach align with your needs and preferences. If for any reason the match doesn't feel right, simply let us know — we'll find someone who's a better fit. Your comfort and trust are our top priorities.
Q8: What if I need to change my care plan?
Life changes — and your care plan can change with it. Whether you need more support, different services, or adjustments to your schedule, we make it simple to update your care plan. Just speak with your care coordinator, and we'll adapt quickly to your evolving needs.
Q9: How do you ensure quality of care?
Quality is at the heart of everything we do. We maintain high standards through regular caregiver training, supervisory check-ins, client feedback surveys, and ongoing care plan reviews. Our care coordinators stay in close contact with both caregivers and families to ensure that your care experience consistently meets your expectations.
Q10: Do you offer emergency or on-call services?
While we are not an emergency medical service (please call 911 for medical emergencies), we do offer a 24/7 support line for urgent care-related matters, such as caregiver scheduling changes, unexpected care needs, or concerns about a client's well-being. You'll always be able to reach a real person when it matters most.
Q11: What infection control measures do you follow?
We take health and safety very seriously. Our caregivers follow strict infection prevention and control protocols, including thorough hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment when needed, regular health screening, and staying up to date with all recommended vaccinations. We continually update our practices in line with Ontario public health guidelines to keep our clients and caregivers safe.
Q12: How do you handle medications?
Our caregivers can provide medication reminders and assist with organizing medications as part of your care plan. It's important to note that we do not administer medications — that is a regulated act reserved for licensed healthcare professionals. If you require medication administration, we can coordinate with your healthcare team to ensure all your needs are covered.
